Just wondering Is there a time period you are supposed to wait after having 2 vaccines before trying to get pregnant?

No. Enjoy the trying !

I think it's recommended that you wait three months after each dose/jab 🤷🏼‍♀️

Luzina · 27/06/2021 07:56

No it is not recommended that you wait three months. It is safe to try immediately. A quick google resulted in this helpful information from the royal college of obstetricians and gynaecologists

I don’t think there is a recommended waiting time but a few women seem to report disruption to their cycles, so that may have a small impact. I had my first this last week and am due a period next weekend so I’ll update.

Onthegrapevine · 27/06/2021 08:01

Nope. People in the trials got pregnant during.

Nope. People in the trials got pregnant during.
But haven't had healthy babies yet

No, you can have it while pregnant so why would they recommend waiting to ttc?

dorothygaleandtoto · 27/06/2021 08:04

I had my first vaccine whilst ttc. I had no disruption to my cycle and conceived two months later. I'm 14 weeks pregnant now and everything seems to be ok.

Congratulations!

I had my last jab in April and guidance at that time was for those undergoing IVF to wait 2-3 weeks. We weren't undergoing IVF but we followed that advice.

@spookycookies

Oh yeah? The trials started last July.

Stop chatting shit.

Wanttocry · 27/06/2021 08:28

Since you can have the (Pfizer and moderna) vaccine at any stage of pregnancy, I don’t see why there would be any need to wait to TTC.

Oh, my bad. It must've been updated since I got my jabs! I got my first in January and the big leaflet talked about waiting 12 weeks after each dose. Glad to read that's not the case now ☺️

mummabubs · 27/06/2021 09:45

I'd echo that there is no recommendation to wait 3 months, see the RCOG guidelines. I had both jabs whilst pregnant and am currently staring at my perfectly healthy 7 week old.

CautiousBlonde · 27/06/2021 10:56

Just ask your doctor what the recommendations are from the trials. Oh, I forgot, the trials don't finish until 2023
