Current self isolation rules

DH was sent home from work because a coworker tested positive for covid. He now needs to self isolate (he has no symptoms himself).
Does the rest of the household need to self isolate with him?
I am asking because I remember from old threads that in similar situations the rest of the household could carry on as normal?

No only the person who has been in contact with the positive case needs to isolate - the rest of the household only needs to isolate if he develops symptoms or tests positive.

Do the people I live with also need to self-isolate at home with me for 10 days?
If you are a contact of a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, but you do not have symptoms, other people living with you do not need to self-isolate. You should follow the guidance on how to stop the spread of COVID-19.
