Anyone got any tips on the above? Finding it impossible.
We've done a few now so the element of surprise has gone. When I took DC this morning he clocked it straight away, started screaming no and clamped his hands over his nose. This was all before we were even in the bay.
At my wit's end and wondering if it's easier just to keep him at home for 10 days!

Anyone else think this is child cruelty?

Putting a child through this for an illness that doesn’t affect them and all the vulnerable have had jabs for.

Why don’t people question things anymore!!

I do question it but given I need him to be able to attend nursery I'm not sure what I can do about it!

It’s awful isn’t it, getting harder and harder each time. We had to do 2, 5 days apart and have done 6 in total all for nursery benefit. Every time it’s been clearly not Covid but had no choice for nursery.

I am very tempted next time to do a home test and do it on myself but send it in as hers.

Are they still trying to develop saliva tests? I think swabbing children has got to be so inaccurate (it’s so hard to actually get a decent swab ) that the inaccuracy of any saliva test can’t be that different. DS is nearly ten and he still is really difficult to do. I let him do his own nose last time we did a LFT before seeing grandparents and he would only put it a few mm up

Oh I don’t know, it’s impossible 🤷🏻‍♀️

My toddler currently has symptoms, everyone else in the house is fine. I’ve tested the whole family (multiple rapid ones and also pcr). PCR swab was too big for my toddler but did manage a lateral flow one this morning - not for 10 seconds though!

Everyone’s tests have been negative (me and DP have both had one vaccination only)...I’m thinking there’s probably something else going round.
