I've felt crap all week. I've been lightheaded and had a real sore throat. I had a PCR as a precaution and it came back yesterday as negative.

I feel much better in myself, just head coldy now.

Am I ok to get the vaccine tomorrow?

(I am a very nervous person Confused)

Scottish advice: www.nhsinform.scot/covid-19-vaccine/invitations-and-appointments/at-your-coronavirus-vaccination-appointment

"If you're unwell on the day of your appointment, you should still go for your vaccination if it's a minor illness without fever.

If you feel very unwell your vaccine may be postponed until you have fully recovered."

UK Gov advice: www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-vaccination-easy-read-resources/information-on-covid-19-vaccination-easy-read-guide

"If you are not feeling well, wait to have your vaccine when you feel better.

You should try to have it as soon as possible. You can call the same number that you used to make your first appointment."

Personally I'd go if it's just the tail end of a cold.

From my reading of the advice and what you have said I think you would be fine.

My mum had a light cold on the day of her second vaccine. She had no temperature etc so doctor at vaccination hub said she'd be fine. The next day she had a terrible full blown outbreak of some sort of heavy cold or virus and needed high strength antibiotics for a terrible chest. She was unwell for 3 weeks. GP believed the vaccine had exacerbated whatever it is she had caught the day before the vaccine. Personally I'd reschedule until you're feeling 100%

I had similar symptoms to you, but negative test, and they took my temperature before having the jab. They said it was fine, but I could have chosen to have the jab even if it had been high. I’ve been fine since.

Same here. Second AZ jab on Monday. We all had colds, all tested negative with PCR. Went for vaccine, ended up pretty loaded and with laryngitis. Still negative PCR so GP reckons jab just heightened the cold.

I had a bad cold during my first (it wasn’t covid) and I was fine, just a bit more tired.

Thank you. I have childcare etc all in place so I am just going to go for it. It is, as you said, the tail end of a cold.

Az leaflet on gov.uk says a cold is not a reason to delay. As you have a negative PCR - go for it. I had my second jab similar circs and was fine. With cases rocketing thanks to our horrendous prime minister, get your protection.

If you feel well enough and aren't presenting with unconfirmed positive covid symptoms then yes you should attend if you feel up to it
