Indoor birthday parties?

Do you think there will be a chance of it being lifted? Booked dd4s birthday party for local soft play for the 26th, il be absolutely gutted for her if it can’t go ahead, especially as people have rsvpd. 😩

Can’t see the 21st happening given case numbers are rising and schools are being mentioned more in the media re outbreaks etc.

Unlikely I think. Could you love it outside?

how big is the party? my son has attended few weeks ago an indoor bday party, it wasn't a soft play if that makes the difference, we were around 20 people maybe

No one knows what will happen. The key question is would you and the other parents be happy for it to go ahead in the knowledge the cases are going back up again regardless of lifting guidance?

How about holding it in the garden with a small marquee or tent to cover the food tables? Friends had a fabulous party for their LOs birthday last year with a small Ferris wheel and entertainment in their garden.

The easy way round this is is to pick a softplay & all the parents book individually for the same session. That’s how I did my daughters ‘party’ a couple weeks ago. We all logged on & booked to go to softplay & the farm at the same time. No rules broken. My DD hugely enjoyed playing with her friends!

Bit of logistics to navigate but doable!
