Do I need a “fit to fly certificate” travelling Ryan Air to Denmark

Help please! I can’t make head nor tail of the rules. It says that some airlines require a “fit to fly” certificate but no information on which ones? Ryan Air has no information. Nothing is required Denmark side... Anyone have any idea what the rules are?

When I flew with Ryanair to Copenhagen in April, I just had to a negative test result taken within 48hrs of scheduled arrival time. The test result itself seemed to be used as the “fit to fly” documentation.
Oddly enough, when I arrived, nobody even glanced at it. You’re tested straight away and get your result before you can go through immigration. Which does make me wonder what the point of it was in the first place...

@Traveller82 thanks so much for replying. What kind of test did you get and what did you use as proof of the results? Obviously I can take one of those home testing kits but then all I’ll have to show is a picture of the results? Will that be enough?! Thanks so much 🙏🏻

I had to get a private test because it had the right wording and time stamp, and specified the kind of test taken. Plus the words “fit to fly” are on it. I’ve not used a home test so I’m not sure how much detail is on them, sorry I can’t help any more.

The specific rules here seem to be clear enough depending on your residency status. Important info there regarding whether you or anyone you w flown with have had COVID19 too: www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/denmark/entry-requirements#entry-rules-in-response-to-coronavirus-covid-19

FYI when they say proof of a Negative test, NHS tests are not suitable for this purpose. You’ll need to book and pay for a fit to fly test, there are multiple providers listed on the government website who can do this either as a home test option or in one of their clinics.

Ok this is what I was unclear about 🤦🏼‍♀️. So frustrating that nhs tests don’t count. Thanks so much for replying and the info x

The NHS ones are free. That's part of the reason. It's for medical need, not for travelling abroad. Want to travel abroad? Pay for the test.
