Booking 2nd Vaccine

I booked my first with a medical centre direct and had it today. Pfizer. I'm 43. It was similar to a walk in. How would I book my second and know when to book it for? Won't the national site show me potentially AZ slots?

As far as I'm aware when you book your second it'll only show you slots available for the vaccine you should have - so Pfizer in your case to match your first.

Did you book through your GP then? The National booking service makes you book the 1st and 2nd appointment together, so I assume you didn’t book that way. As you probably went via your GP, they’ll contact you to arrange your 2nd. Might not be until a couple of weeks before your 2nd is due.

You go to national booking in site and put your details in. It will show you slots 8 weeks apart. When you had your 1st jab the vaccine would be recorded on the system and they will give you the same jab as before. Alternatively you can book by calling 119 if you want to speak to someone

If it was walk in and not through GP best to go on booking site or 119

I went to a surgery that wasn't mine, not via my surgery or the national booking system.

I'll leave it a few days and see if my details are updated in the NHS app / call 119.

Ah, of you literally just booked direct and weren’t invited to book there via your GP, then everyone’s correct - the NBS will only show you sites with Pfizer, and will only give you slots 11-12 weeks from your 1st (the 8 week gap is only for existing 1st doses booked by people on cohorts 1-9, ie the over 50s and clinically vulnerable).
