Taking baby to my COVID vaccination appointment?

Hi all, I’ve got my COVID jab booked for Friday but haven’t got anyone that I can leave my 4 month old son with. Will I be able to take him in with me or am I going to have to reschedule? If it makes a difference my appointment is at the Maxted road centre in Hemel? Thanks

I took mine in the buggy and it was fine - no one batted an eyelid. Good luck!

I took my toddler in the buggy last week. Think they are used to it. A volunteer even took me to the lift and opened doors for me.

Back in January or February you may have got someone getting iffy because all the safety around the old and the very vulnerable. Now we are down in ages I think they are more relaxed. Plus realise some people don't have childcare.

Me and dh had ours done on Sunday we had our 2 under school age children with us, they put us all in the same room and then did both of us adults, it wasn't an issue.

I'm a volunteer steward at a large local hub. Lots of people bring babies and children, specially after school. It's no problem at all. And if you need help with a baby in a sling and a toddler in a buggy, for example, you will find enthusiastic offers.

At the moment some places have long, long queues. People may let you go to the front if you ask nicely. But the situation may have improved by Friday as we were vaccinating the first bookers among the under 40s over the weekend and today.
