Delayed response to vaccine at injection site

44F had first dose of AZ Monday 2pm. All good with just some joint pain/body aches/night sweats for first couple of days.

Today, I have developed a large, warm, raised lump under the skin at the injection site and my arm feels a lot more stiff and painful. OH has drawn a line around the site to monitor.

Apart from reporting on the yellow card scheme, am I ok to continue to monitor without seeking medical advice? Dr Google points me to 'COVID arm' as a possible cause. Anyone experienced similar?

I had this, 10 days after my first Pfizer jab my arm suddenly went hot, red and swollen at the injection site, with a hard lump. I Yellow carded it and then it went away after a day or two so didnt do anything else.

Mine went hot, red and insanely itchy about 3/4 days after the initial jab.

Rang GP for advice after it kept me awake half the night and they told me my body was reacting as if I had been bitten by an insect- which was exactly what it felt like.

Took antihistamines tablets and used similar cream with hydrocortisone as advised and it calmed down over the next couple of days.

Yeah, my arm was very sore for a solid week. I developed an itchy rash on my wrist on day three and then the injection site was hard, red, itchy and hot from around day 4. It was annoying bit did go away after 3 days or so.

Thanks for the responses. Glad to hear it calms down after a little while.

I have reported it via yellow card and will take some antihistamines to see if that helps. I'm generally quite an allergy-prone person anyway, so I guess this isn't entirely unexpected!
