Let's be truthfully honest !!! no judging,no bitchyness ,no arguments
a simple yes or no will do

1-Have you or your children started hugging your family members yet ?
2- Have you been inside someone's house?
Do you wear masks still and keep your distance if you are doing either of these?

I have had my Dd1 and her DP round for dinner once since xmas. This was in lieu of xmas that we couldn't have, other than that i had them round after my mum's funeral. Of course i hugged her!

Ive not been in anyone's house , but probably wouldn't have anyway, nor had anyone round as we are pretty antisocial.

I caught covid at work Hmm

beckypv · 15/04/2021 22:42

No hugging and no going inside. But I am a rule follower and overly patient. I am quite happy to wait till it’s allowed.

  1. No
  2. No - only my mum’s as her support bubble.
Tootsey11 · 15/04/2021 22:45

Hugged anyone, no.
Been in anyone's house, yes, only because I work in others homes.

I know lots that have continued to mix in homes all throughout this.

Gompurtz · 15/04/2021 22:47

Yes and yes- absolutely joyous!

SanFrancisco49er · 15/04/2021 22:47

Yes, I have hugged my parents all along since we started seeing them last summer.
Recently, I've also seen and hugged my brother and niece indoors and a friend.
I have a baby and keen for him to meet people and start building up his immune system.

Pootle40 · 15/04/2021 22:47

When we've been allowed to see people I always hugged as did those I was meeting with. And yes have seen a couple of people indoors.

Wandamakestoast · 15/04/2021 22:49

Yes to the hugging with family - it’s been too long and to be honest we all needed it. But all adults have been vaccinated (some twice) and my family are all doing regular Covid tests for school / work.

Went indoors at mum’s to use the toilet and wash up, but mainly sat outside.

With friends only been outside, and no hugging.

wheresmyhairytoe · 15/04/2021 22:49

Yes, have been in my best friend's house and hugged her and her children.

I test twice a week for work, her partner does the same. We both have mental health issues so the simple act of sitting watching TV with a brew together has done us the world of good.

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 15/04/2021 22:49

Yes I've hugged my parents.

I've popped in for the loo or to get a drink.

My dad has cancer so I could wait for the government to tell me I'm allowed to hug him, or I could think "how many more hugs will there be?!" And just hug him.

My mum has had both vaccines, me and my dad have had our first.

As for the kids, they won't be vaccinated until 2022 at the earliest. I'm not going to tell them not to hug their grandparents until they've been vaccinated. It's inhumane

Kids have had close contact with friends within school bubble.

TempsPerdu · 15/04/2021 22:57

Yes and yes. Hugging both sets of parents and allowing DD to (not that there’s any stopping her anyway!) They’ve all had both their jabs and DP and I have had our first.

RedcurrantPuff · 15/04/2021 23:00
  1. Not me as I am not a hugger. My mum hugged my son last week on his birthday.
  1. Yes a couple of times for a brief period but only with other people who have had at least one vaccine dose. Sat 2m apart with windows and doors open and masks on.
Marmite27 · 15/04/2021 23:01

We never stopped. We visited immediate family. No adult hugging though, just kids.

We also met up for walks with a group of friends. The kids hugged/held hands.

13 weeks, not even a hint of a Covid diagnosis. A concussion, tonsillitis and cellulitis, but no Covid. (Not the same person Wink).

Loveistheonlyway · 15/04/2021 23:04

Yes but only today. Went to my parents house with my brother. First time we've been inside, first time I've seen my parents since Christmas which was only a brief, cold, sad hour. It was wonderful! Both parents and brother fully vaccinated and I've had my first. It felt lovely and meeting again very soon. Parents have literally stayed in for 6 months so pretty safe and brother tests twice a week for work so I feel as safe as I'll ever feel I guess.

Not let any friends in though or been into their houses

Bolshybun · 15/04/2021 23:05

Yes, seeing my in laws and my parents indoors. We’ve had to use both as childcare since January. I have seen two friends indoors a week ago. It was the most happy occasion.
Measured risks, all of the aforementioned people are vaccinated. My husband and I had covid in November.
