With all this back tracking, U turning, propaganda, lies and other nonsense it must be time to arrest all MPs who’ve supported the Government’s Coronavirus Act, all of Sage, Whitty and Vallance, Jean Claude Van Tamm etc.

Jean Claude Van TammGrin

rosie39forever · 08/04/2021 11:01

Jean Claude van Tamm has made my day🤣🤣 the rest not so much

savethegrannies · 08/04/2021 11:05

Whitty and Vallance will probably have to sit in front of a Select Committee to justify their stance. This is why there is so much spineless back-covering going on at the moment and why the exit out of lockdown is ridiculously slow. It's not about saving lives, it's about saving careers.

MrsHastingslikethebattle · 08/04/2021 11:15

I sincerely hope so.

For me it's when the indoor hospitality has been challenged and the government can not provide any evidence to justify their decision to not open pubs and restaurants alongside non essential retail.
Its hitting the mainstream media and hopefully it will open peoples eyes as to what else the government have done that also cant be backed up my evidence.
Secondary school children sat in the class with face masks for example, still waiting for evidence.

I'm hoping more and more people realise how we have been blindsided, manipulated and coerced into submission.

Jo99996 · 08/04/2021 11:15

Whitty and Vallance should have been dealt with after last Septembers 100 million deaths a day by October. Then so should the government. Sadly no opposition anymore all been morphed into the current shambles.

Agreed. I hope the Indoor hospitality thing gets someone. The rules to open a cafe or pub make it not worth opening. May as well leave the staff on furlough.

This has all gone well beyond “keeping you safe”

Once we have arrested them all op, what ever shall we do with them? 😂😂😂

Tiktokersmiracle · 08/04/2021 11:19

I doubt very much anything will happen to any of them. The MSM is already on stand by to give Boris his Churchill moment.

We all know huge mistakes were made, but it's not the first time that's happened.

Personally, with Herd Immunity about to be hit on Monday,we could quite feasibily speed up unlocking. The fact they aren't makes me think there's something we aren't being told about mutant strains.

Put them in the stocks. Catapult face masks at them and squirt sanitiser in their eyes!

I see your point OP. So many rules makes no sense!

I wouldn't say that I was the over-anxious type but I won't be going to any pubs. From what I could see, lots of them weren't obeying the rules last year or making their customers obey the rules and so the infection rates need to be close to zero. It's less of an issue for restaurants where people tend to be seated and have table service so maybe the government is being a bit too cautious there.

poppycat10 · 08/04/2021 11:35

I agree it's gone beyond protecting the NHS though - everything has to be 100% "safe" now.

There's no such thing as "safe". I hate it when people talk about going to the cinema or a pub and say "it felt very safe". Sounds soppy.

Loveisthehope · 08/04/2021 11:35

Jesus Christ - why would 'they' want us to not be spending our money. God I get so sick of these stupid threads, I know I could just not open them but seemingly drawn to how I live in the same country as people who spout this shite

Perhaps not turning all the taps on at once Hmm

I’d suggest the ones that weren’t following the were the ones you wouldn’t want to visit anyway as they’d be rough backstreet type places

It was a strict procedure and the penalties from the local licensing authority (generally the lock council of some level) wouldn’t be worth breaking.

'What you could see' (and is tarnished by your own biases) isn't at all representative of what happened in the majority of pubs/bars and restaurants. Also data has shown that the spread in these places was negligible. What happened to data not dates?

savethegrannies · 08/04/2021 11:43

Who said anything about people stopping people spending money Loveisthehope???? It was never about that and never will be. At least try to understand these issues (yes, I know it's hard).
Alternatively, scroll on and stop whining Grin

The rest of them, yeah lock em all up and throw away the key.

Hazelnutlatteplease · 08/04/2021 14:37

What nonsense

5 secs Google pulled up this article in the British medical journal.
This article highlights air vents and shouting as specific risk factors.

In a shop you are unlikely to spend a prolonged period of time in one specific location or we shouting at people.

In a restaurant you might well spend a prolonged period of time under one specific air vent. In a pub people shout, drunk people get loud and you are likely to spend a prolonged period of time in one spot. Without a mask on.

All the government advice is a assessment of risk bundled up in a package that cant bd understood. Dont stand near air conditioning vents or near anyone whose shouting or singing isnt as easy to apply as blanket bans.

WhatHoJeeves · 08/04/2021 14:50
