Ongoing arm ache in jabbed arm

Had my AZ jab back in February with no side effects aside from a sore arm. Sore arm lasted a few days.
However it’s not really gone away properly and whilst day to day it’s fine, it still hurts to lift my arm over my head.
Is it just a muscle thing or an AZ thing?

There are very few people on here who will actually know anything, but plenty of people will have an opinion and these carry no more weight than your own opinion.

I would ask your GP or there must be a specific Covid helpline that you can talk to?

My MIL had something similar with her flu vaccine a few years ago. I can’t remember all the details, but it was something to do with the vaccine not going into the muscle in the right place. I remember her saying that it was the only year she’d had it done at the pharmacy rather than the GP surgery and that the pharmacist had injected a lot higher than the nurse at the surgery usually did. She was initially very pleased as the injection itself was painless and she didn’t get the Day 1 side effects she usually got, but then woke up Day 2 and could no longer raise the arm above shoulder height!

She ended up having steroid injections and I think it’s pretty much back to normal now.

Hopefully not what you have, but I think it’s quite rare so thought I’d share just in case.

I had a pneumonia jab that hurt for months. The site still aches when I’m under the weather and when I had the Covid jab it hurt more than the jab did (other arm). Truly the human body is weird.

Mine is the same, say if I'm cleaning and my arm goes into a position it's not normally in, ouch.

Thanks. I’m not sure I’m bothered enough (yet) to actually see a professional about it.
It’s just interesting to know if anyone else has the same thing. Thank you TheSockMonster that’s helpful.

Interesting, I've got the same thing, I had my jab at the beginning of March and my arm/shoulder/neck felt very muscle achy for a few days - it's just my arm now and it's not really getting any better. It's not painful as such, just uncomfortable, as if I've been carrying a heavy bag or doing heavy exercise just with that arm and reaching behind my back is difficult.
I'm sure it will get better in time but I've been wondering if I should report it to the yellow card scheme for side effects?

Vacccine induced bursitis? My dsis has it from her Covid vaccination.

I had AZ in February and still got a lump on the injection site. It only stopped hurting about a week ago and still hurts if pressure is on it.

RufustheSniggeringReindeer · 05/04/2021 09:04

Yes

I have this very mildly though

Its not very painful but just feels like ive only just had the jab rather than weeks ago, it just feels heavy
