Who has yellow carded their side effects?

I had my AZ a couple of weeks ago. Doctor said “you might get a bit of a temperature and feel quite poorly if you’re very unlucky but less than 1% of people will get that”. I was extremely sceptical about that and as I feared I had short-lived flu-like symptoms. I also had an additional unusual but non-serious symptom - a huge flare up of cold sores. All absolutely fine, what I’d expected and no reason not to take the vaccine, but I’m 99% sure they were vaccine related.

Should I yellow card? What have other people done? I guess it’s a bit hypocritical for me to get cross with doctor for saying that common side effects are rare when I haven’t made the effort to report.

@ScaredNeedHelp1

Yes I reported via yellow card. I had palpations (very short lived), pins and needles and skull-crushing headache (like nothing I've experienced before and have had migraines and cluster headaches in the past) that lasted 4 days until it eased off.
I reported the exact same. & heart palpitations I

Have now had a read of the guidance. It says that for "black triangle" products you should report all suspected adverse drug reactions. This is different for established products where the guidance specifies that serious suspected adverse drug reactions should be reported.

I don't agree with yellow carding this. These are the very symptoms that they say are the norm. This should NOT be yellow carded.

@Oblomov21 You clearly haven't read the guidance! For black triangle products it asks for reports of all suspected adverse drug reactions. There is no suggestion that reports should be limited to unusual reactions. For established medicines the guidance asks for reports of serious adverse reactions, but even then specifies that serious adverse reactions should be reported even if well known!

I reported my immediate side effects (though they were what I expected - fever, chills, excessive tiredness, aches) but haven't been back now I'm on day 9 to report subsequent issues, which are mouth ulcers and backache as they may not be connected. If my period doesn't show up I'd probably report that.

I have reported an incident I had four days after the jab purely because it was like nothing I have ever experienced before. I had a strange episode with my eye where it sort of went into a spasm almost like a focal seizure. It was hugely scary. I cannot say that it was related to the jab but I am generally in good health and never experienced anything like this before. I also had a severe headache for at least eight days which i reported to my Gp who just said that they have had a lot of patients reporting this but haven't really been given any guidance on what to say to people.

I tried, but found the site so fussy I gave up on it.

I was only reporting symptoms which were on the published list anyhow (so some use in refining how common they are?) But also had v dry mouth (not listed)

I reported it. I got shingles 5-6 days after the vaccination and only feeling well now 15 days after the jab.
