Freaking out after vaccine

Can anyone help me calm down a bit? I have health anxiety so worth mentioning.
I had the jab (az) sat morning (so I'm on day 3). Most of the side effects have worn off, headache fever etc but my arm is looking angrier and angrier by the second. The injection site has a lump and very large red patch around it taking up quite a bit of my upper arm.
I phoned 111 who told me to speak to the gp, and gp called and wanted to see a pic of it. She's given antibiotics as she feels it's infected but I'm now convinced it's a blood clot. Anyone know what the symptoms of a blood clot are? This isn't just a bit red and sore - it's massive. I'm really really scared atm.
Thanks

@JS87

This is quite common after the moderna vaccine. I’ve seen a few articles about it on line.
I had the AZ, but I reckon this can happen with any vaccine. I just was unlucky

@sandgrown

I am shocked that you were not given any information after the jab . I volunteer at a vaccination hub and everybody gets a leaflet and an explanation from the person giving the jab . We also survey patients leaving to ensure they have been given the info/explanation.
I was a little bit shocked too. My parents were both given the the leaflet that comes out of the pack, you know when you are given a medicine.

I think mine was because I wasn't 'called up'. I'm a teacher in a nursery and we were offered it by a local g.p practice rather than offered it because of our age group.

It was a quick jab in the arm (which ironically I barely felt Grin) and off you go.

Did you try any antihistamines OP? And was it really agony to touch it - not being goady, (honest!) just I’m not sure what could be so painful. Sorry it is still going on!

Wow, it's really big. But there is no reason to worry about blood clot I think. Symptoms of a blood clot are worse, they include throbbing or cramping pain, sudden breathlessness, sharp chest pain and a cough or coughing up blood. Don't panic yet. It really can be a reaction.

I had this after the flu jab, I think it's a side effect of any vaccine. I'm surprised you were given antibiotics.

Haven't tried them yet but am going to grab some when I can get to the pharmacy.

It really was agony - my husband accidentally grazed it and I near in hit the ceiling.

It's weird looking and getting more purple now. I've not had much in the way of jabs so very little to go on. Although the whooping cough jab had virtually no effect on me.

Pleased to know it doesn't look like a clot though.
