Probably done to death but hey ho.

AIBU to think certain restrictions like masks will be permanent and that there is no way out of this sorry mess.

What do you think live will be like 'post covid' if there ever is a 'post'

Don't be daft.

Besides, I think the voluntary use of masks in flu season and the increased option to work from home if you have a cold is long overdue. Thank god it will be seen as entirely normal for someone to spend a day working at home rather than spreading germs around the office.

In 3-5 years the current restrictions will be no more than a memory, but the previous ways of life will be too.

Countries will invest a lot in pandemic planning, but there likely won't be another threat for a little while.

YABU.

No, it will get back to normal. There have been pandemics before and we come through it, mourn our losses and carry on.

In years to come this will be part of kids' history lesson.

I know it's hard if you are struggling, and I'm sorry you are so low but honestly things will get better.

Thanks guys! Just feels never ending! I'm such a sociable person and it's starting to get to me now! Don't think I could cope with another lockdown, I long for indoor playmates and all that stuff! Sad. Kids can't be kids either! I could not cope with 3-5 years of bloody restrictions!

I've even been tempted to hold my daughter back a year as she's August born and I just feel her first year of school (next September) will just be rubbish!

There's a big difference between forever and the foreseeable future... Some things like masks probably will still be around for a while but eventually covid will just be another illness and there won't be restrictions in place.

Welllllllwellllllllwellllllll · 26/03/2021 15:10

@nordica I know that but 'foreseeable' feels so permanent. I just want to know when so I have something to look fard to 😂

I’m holding my August born back a year and Covid concerns played a huge role in our decision.

I’ve only read individuals accounts online but I believe Israel would beg to differ. If you want some hope look up how vaccinations are working out there.

@ThornAmongstRoses can I ask when she's due to start school. My daughter is due to start September 2022 and I'm tempted to hold her back till September 2023

He should be starting this September but we are holding him back until next September.
