@Katie517

I think they do count but I won’t be counting my 6 month old when given the new 2 household rule 2 student houses of 10 people each could meet legally but I can’t meet 6 mums from my NCT group with our babies in prams.
You can if its an official NCT arranged meeting...

But from Monday, suddenly that’s not allowed. Suddenly that’s 7 people are far too risky. 🙄 oh and if children are at say a toddler group or playing organised football, up to 15 of them at once with 15 adults as well is fine. But 6 of them in a park with their 6 parents who are friends. Not covid safe. Yeh OK

The Legislation actually says 15 children in organised sporting activities but their parents can not be present. They have to fuck off - strictly no spectators allowed.

This is because its the parents that are greater risk. Which is why 6 kids and their parents in informal exercise isn't allowed too.

It’s the typical thing of if you pay for an organized activity such as a play group under 5s don’t count but a picnic in the park or a buggy walk organised with a group of friends and they do.... makes no sense it’s not like my immobile baby is going to be approaching the other babies so I will use my common sense on this one! If they don’t count on the 28th then they shouldn’t count on the 29th it makes no sense.

They counted last time but 2 households can be many kids.
me, dh and our 4 kids met my dB, sil and their 5 kids. There would be 13 of us.
4 of those kids are under 5.

NCT do lots of free activities, I’ve been meeting my group at their walks all lockdown, perfectly legally. Have a look and see if there’s anything in your area your group can all go to. If not you can volunteer to lead an activity and your group can all go.

Time for me to happily admit I was wrong! I'd skim read the draft (it is 40k words to be fair! 😂) and noticed the exception for organised groups and assumed it was part of the whole regs. That will teach me to be a bit more careful!
