Tad confused. If I'm allowed to meet my mum outdoors for a picnic now, does that mean I'm now allowed to go and sit in her garden??

29th March for meeting in private gardens

StealthPolarBear · 20/03/2021 20:21

Rule of six or two households outside in a public space or private garden from a week on Monday, assuming all goes to plan. Yes you can meet your mum for outdoor recreation (is that how they describe it) now, but not in her garden.

You can meet her in a public place now, then her garden on March 29th.

In Scotland you are currently allowed to meet in private gardens. You could go into a house ‘if necessary’ for example to pass through a terraced house to enter the back garden or to use the loo. This should be done quickly. People should provide cleaning materials to clean loo after use. Not sure about England sorry but imagine it would be similar.

Yes sorry good point I was answering for England

If she's single could you bubble with her and sit with her now?

BlackeyedSusan · 21/03/2021 01:18

BlackeyedSusan · 21/03/2021 01:18

Wales is the same, with the proviso that it should be no more than 4 over 11s from two households meeting. I assume the OP is probably in England, but just in case anyone wants to know the Welsh rules!
