Hi,

Has anyone had their injection site become red and sore 10 days after vaccine?

I've just posted about side effects on AZ after 5 days. Wonder if delayed side effects do happen ...

It's always possible a skin infection was started up. Ask your Gp to check

Thank you replying .

The injection site felt and looked as though I'd just been injected ( red dot etc ) but that went away after a day or two. No sign of skin infection.

Then my mouth started itching and has been swollen in the mornings for a week. It goes down slightly by late afternoon if I take an antihistamine .

The gp said they'd never heard of a site reaction after 10 days - which I thought was strange as I have heard of it !

Very odd of your GP. I have absolutely no medical training but have known this is a common side effect just by skimming the news (been reported in various newspapers) and also the detailed article above.

Moderna & Pfizer are extremely similar so many side effects will overlap with each other.

Thank you for that link .

GPs don't know everything. One disbelieved me last week when I was struggling with hayfever because "it's too early for hayfever". She backed down when I told her it is been in the news that there are especially high levels of tree pollen this year and the pharmacist in Boots told me she has had hundreds of people coming in for antihistamines. It's worrying as some people will believe whatever their GP tells them and if I hadn't stood up to her she wouldn't have given me the strong antihistamines that I really do need.

Yes , I've has similar experiences .
I had occasional nausea as a menopause symptom - not usual but not unheard of- and a male GP insisted it was nothing to do with menopause and started lots of tests .

I also have terrible hayfever at the moment !
