I know this has been done prob ten times before but I’m just venting as I’m quite annoyed. I have just looked at a few pictures of my daughters class on the teams website. Nearly all her class is sitting smiling away, all her friends she’s made over the last few years. Primary 4 Scotland. Now my knowledge is it’s two keyworkers per household or single parents and vulrnable that gets a space. Is it heck!! Before anyone jumps on the vulnerable bandwagon, I know quite a few of these families personally. I’m not saying some aren’t but not the whole feckin class. I have struggled myself this lockdown. I know the kids are going back in a weeks time but I’m annoyed as my daughter was sitting crying asking why all her friends were sitting laughing in a photo and she’s left out. The whole system was totally unfair the way they done the keyworker job. Fair play critical workers but how can someone working at the local baguette express be a keyworker? Unreal and I’m not bashing jobs, I have a min wage job myself. Sorry I’m havering on, but I’m so angry with the whole thing.

Try re-framing it for her. Tell her maybe her friends have missed her and will be excited to welcome her and the others back. Hopefully the teachers will make a big fuss of those returning and encourage reintegration.

I'm with you @Chocsmyfav. There are alot of children in school that need to be there but an awful lot of parents got there children in by lying In my kw/vulnerable bubble quite a few have sahm so yes - lazy and selfish. I say this as we have had lots of positives in my bubble with large groups of children as well as adults testing positive. A few of my colleagues are still not well months later. Sahm sending their children in with symptoms!!!! It's beyond selfish!!! My children have been at home when most of their friends are in. But it's Monday soon and I have a clear conscious.

Yes I’m trying to be positive with her. She has a couple of good friends so fingers crossed friendships will just go on and grow as before. I’m going to take a holiday next Monday from work so I’m not rushing about in the morning at drop off time.

@Kitcat122 I’m with you on the clear conscience- when we look back on this period at least we know we did all we could to reduce contacts, reduce pressure on the NHS & help to protect the most vulnerable in our society. Not everyone will be able to do that.
