Can you put off your jab?

I'll still be breastfeeding when I get offered the jab - probably in July. I do what to be vaccinated - does anyone know what happens if you don't take it when you're offered, can you just book later?

I'm sure you could. As I've heard that people who were initially hesitant can change their mind, and that it's an ongoing invitation. Obviously, in your case, you have a totally valid reason for delaying, so I can't see a problem whatsoever Smile

Hey OP exactly the same with me- as we are rushing through the jabs so quickly I suspect I’ll still be breastfeeding and therefore won’t accept the jab.
I’m hoping no vaccine passports that would go against new mothers and I can take it up once I’ve finished feeding

Whilst it’s entirely your decision, if you have the vaccine, you will be protecting your baby through breastfeeding. Have you seen the recent data on having vaccine whilst breastfeeding, it was posted here on a thread last week and the data was quite reassuring to mothers.

Oh yeah, can you imagine? - there's so many valid reasons someone wouldn't be vaccinated so I can't see how passports are going to work. Even if you could apply for some kind of exempt passport, you are going to be debited freedoms while you wait for it - I assume anyway Confused

Sorry - denied freedoms *

Ah no, I missed that. All I've seen is there gov advising it will be offered, but there's a lack of data. I could try and read up more but my gut tells me just to wait until I'm finished feeding

I’d be interested in a link- as far as I’ve read There’s no direct data it just says no harm identified which is not enough for me
