Would you speak with gp

I had Covid in October and was quite unwell for about four weeks. It took quite a while for me to recover. Since then my throat, windpipe and lungs alternate between feeling ok, and then feeling unwell, infected and burning slightly, like when you’re outside in the cold and you breath in.
Fully breathing in or breathing out makes me cough. I just feel like there’s still some infection there. I was not on any medication other than paracetamol when I had Covid.

Would you speak with the gp, should I be asking about antibiotics?

Any advice gratefully received.

Yes I think I'd at the very least speak to the GP to see what they think the situation is.
Sorry you're still have issues though, hope you can get some relief from it.

Yes I would.

Definitely

Yes for sure, you must

Also Tim Spector is running some long COVID studies which would be worth signing up for. Some online communities have sprung up and are good for advice.

Yes you should speak to your GP but not to ask for antibiotics, to tell them everything that you are experiencing and letting them work out how to help you.

Thanks so much for the advice. Spoke with gp who has made me an an appointment for bloods to be tested, and ecg to be done, a chest X-ray to be done and she’s given me some doxycycline tablets. Glad I rang now.
