Covid and childcare advice

Hiya, i'm in my last trimester and since the lockdown I stopped sending my child to my Mums for childcare.
Im at home full time and more than capable of looking after my child.
My Mum has stated she doesnt understand why I am not sending her and itd give me a break. She said that we are a bubble and she hopes i'l send her after the lockdown. This has made me feel quite anxious but quite bad aswel. I was going to delay sending her until after my birth which is in May. Iv read the last trimester is quite crucial and to be safe.
My Mum works in a school and gets tested regular which she mentioned to me, my Dad does work but isnt tested.
Im really confused and really dont know what someone in my position would do. Help? My partner says its up to me by the way.

I’m similar headed into my third trimester and I just mind my toddler. Im quite anxious at the idea of leaving her with someone while I give birth so currently trying to persuade dh to stay with her and leave me go solo. I am in the risk catagory outside of pregnancy but can’t get the vaccine just yet, so in a bit of a messy situation! But to be honest, I understand your feelings as I feel the same way, plenty of people are not as worried and don’t mind leaving the kids or else have no choice but because I have the choice and am working from home, I’m ok with having the extra stress of minding her over the worry of us catching it if that makes sense. My mum didn’t take the virus seriously though so I don’t really trust her judgement either in terms of taking risks!

If your mums and teacher I really wouldn’t. Third trimester your classed as vulnerable and it’s just not worth the risk to the baby.

You could talk to your midwife who will be able to give you the current evidence based recommendations about the third trimester/COVID situation.
