We’re booked for the 14th, I so hope it goes ahead now I’ve seen the roadmap. I can’t wait for a change of scenery and to see the sea again.

MumsGoneToIceland · 22/02/2021 21:21

Ours was booked for the week before! 😫

Bayleaf25 · 22/02/2021 21:25

We’re booked for 12th, nothing like cutting it fine, it’s in Wales so depends on rules there too.

LEELULUMPKIN · 22/02/2021 21:29

We are going to book somewhere now for a couple of nights from the 13th of April. In England.

Dee1975 · 22/02/2021 21:37

We were booked for Easter weekend ... so that will need to be changed now.
It would have been great to get away. But it is what it is. Jealous you have from the 14th!

Scarby9 · 22/02/2021 21:38

Ours was booked for Easter! Have asked to swap to New Year 2022.

mnahmnah · 22/02/2021 22:11

I’ve just been looking to book somewhere from the 12th. From what I’ve read it’s ‘self-catering rental’. Does that include holiday parks like haven? Or a stand-alone rental?!

JanFebAnyMonth · 22/02/2021 22:15

Would centre parcs count, I wonder?

Cocopogo · 22/02/2021 22:16

I think it’ll include Haven without the entertainment etc

mnahmnah · 22/02/2021 22:18

@Cocopogo

I did think that. But the 12th is when pubs, restaurants and attractions can open too. We’re not into the ‘entertainment’ on an evening but DC would like something. Haven offer a full refund or move of date if covid doesn’t allow.

MrsFionaCharming · 22/02/2021 22:23

As soon as it was announced, we booked an air bnb for a weekend. I’ve got a big birthday in April, and a weekend away starts to make up for not being able to have a party!

Chimeraforce · 22/02/2021 22:32

Yep. 2nd April 🙄🙄🙄

Cocopogo · 22/02/2021 22:34

Previously Haven were doing a self catering only holiday no entertainment etc but when I looked I thought it was poor value for money

Rockbird · 22/02/2021 22:34

Booked for the 10th Sad

TryingNotToPanicOverCovid · 22/02/2021 22:37

We have but wondering if it will go ahead. Pretty close to the bone....

Also we want a local attraction to be open to make it worth it. Luckily have a 2 week cancellation notice but it will be a close call wont it!!

Lemons1571 · 22/02/2021 22:45

Booked for Easter weekend. And then can’t have any time off until august Sad gutted.

southeastdweller · 22/02/2021 22:51

Yep, a Staycity apartment on the 18th. I don't know if it'll be allowed now. The only kind of self catering I'm 100% sure is OK for then is camping.

Smallinthesmoke · 22/02/2021 23:06

We're booked for 16 April but the company says we would lose our money if we pulled out less than two weeks before.
I wonder how much notice we will get of whether the change in rules will actually happen. It is all "subject to change" at the mo- feels very close to the wire and I am worried about losing £500. Sad

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 22/02/2021 23:16

Not April, but we have a big cottage booked for spring bank for 3 families. Looking like 2 may be able to go but not 3.

So my parents will have to choose between me or my brother!

Or I just move in with my parents for a week before so we count as 1 household! Lol

Gertie75 · 22/02/2021 23:23

We're hopefully going to go to our caravan on the 12th, it's literally a few feet across the Welsh border and I'm keeping everything crossed that they open up on the same day.

MouthAche · 22/02/2021 23:27

I doubt the Entertainment venue / Activities in holiday parks will be open will they?

If they do, Christ, Would avoid April, Will be rammed everywhere !

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 23/02/2021 00:06

JanFebAnyMonth the general thought amongst regulars is yes, it will account. Without restaurants but with pool and outdoor activities etc

Forest Holidays are saying they plan to open.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 23/02/2021 00:07

Forest Holidays is also booked out in a lot of locations for 12th April!

If Wales allows self catering holidays at Easter are we allowed to go from England?

Frazzled2207 · 23/02/2021 16:42

we booked for first week in June. Hopeful that 'attractions' and restaurants etc will be open from mid may which should make it a fairly 'normal' holiday. Crossing fingers for everyone.
Prices have definitely shot up for this summer, demand will be huge. TBF to landlords they will have lost out for so much of the last year I don't blame them for increasing the prices a bit, as long as they flatten out a bit/go down once the demand goes back to normal.
