My son tested positive on Friday, the rest of us in the house went for a test yesterday and all of us got a negative result today.
I am drained already from cleaning, going up and down the stairs with food etc all day and trying to be so careful with touching his stuff and I'm sick of rubber gloves, bin bags and fecking hand sanitizer!!!
Now I'm thinking how the hell am I supposed to clean the bathroom and his room when this is hopefully all over in a week or so time?? Like do I literally have to clean every item in the room?
I'm worried about any lingering virus especially as I am slightly vulnerable as is my daughter.
Any tips welcome and an idea of what I need to do from those in the know would be appreciated TIA

You were all a bit premature at getting tested if none if you had symptoms. You could all be incubating it and tested too early.

Opening windows and airing the rooms are important. Disinfect high touch areas.

@dementedpixie I'm not in the uk! We were rang by track and trace when my son got his positive result and were given a time to come along and get tested the following day, we also have to have another test next Sunday, is this not the same as uk?
I am airing all rooms windows are open and disinfecting everything but my question was about his room when he's clear.

Just do the same in his room. Wash bedding, hoover, air the room, wipe hard surfaces

In the UK we just have family isolation for 10 days after a positive test and only get tested if anyone develops symptoms in that isolation period

@dementedpixie Slightly different in the UK then, thanks for advice 👍
