Stupid vaccination question

If the 60 plus group are being vaccinated: does it it literally mean everyone who is 60-69 years old or might it include people who were born in 1961, but haven't had their birthday yet?

The former I think

It may depend on your area so keep trying this link

I know for the flu jab, they took the age people were as of 31 March that winter. So for the original group, 65 by end of March, for the newer group, 50 by the end of March. I know people who were still 49 when they had it but were 50 in the early months of this year.

So might be similar for the Covid vaccine - obviously it'll have to be a rolling programme to take into account people turning that age at some point in the year, but to start with, there might be a certain cut-off date that the NHS are using to send out letters, maybe slightly further on than the dates of the letters themselves.

I don't know, though ,just guessing. Was wondering the same thing myself, until it turned out I was group 6.

That's why I was wondering, I have heard about people qualifying for the flu jab a couple of months before their 50th birthday. So wondered if it might be to do with birth year rather than age if you know what I mean.
