I know this has been done to death. I've also read tons of threads on this, but I'm alone with my little one, and feel a bit wobbly.
I had the Astrazeneca jab yesterday. My sister had an appointment too, so as I don't drive I went with her.
My husband is having his next week, so I didn't want us to both be off colour together, they said next week they will be giving the Pfizer jab.
I made a huge mistake. I had it my right arm (I'm right-handed), as the nurse said it could be difficult to sleep on (and I lay on my left side).
It was fine when I went to bed, I felt woozy, but my arm wasn't painful, and I even slept on it some of the time.
I woke in the early hours with severe pain at the injection site. It is very hot. Apart from that and a small headache I was fine.
Throughout today I have become unwell. I am always cold (when they pointed the forehead thermometer at me it didn't register as it was so low, and always has been). I fell even colder though, I have two jumpers on, a dressing gown and two blankets, but feel shivery, my daughter touched me and said I'm burning.
I feel achy all over - my neck, other arm, kidneys (flanks), legs, etc. I feel like I've got flu. I've taken some co-codamol and this is the first time I've been able to look at my laptop today.
I guess this is normal, but my chest feels a bit wheezy (I get very severe asthma when I get a cold - usually am hospitalised - so am concerned).
I'm almost 100% sure I didn't have CV brewing, as I never go out anywhere, I just don't leave the house - three times in the last year, except for school runs (obviously not since December).
My parents had the AZ, dad felt like me apparently (he has terminal kidney cancer that's had mets to his aorta, COPD, one kidney and stage 4 CKD), my mum felt alright - both are in their late 70s.
Is it good that I'm feeling rough? Is it a sign my immune system is working? I have the flu jab every year, but the first few times I felt like this.
I'm 51 btw.
