Does sore arm after vaccine mean it's working?

It was mentioned to me before that a sore arm is a good sign. I usually get a sore arm after a flu vaccine.

I got first dose of covid vaccine a few weeks ago and my arm was very sore. I couldn't lift it for days. I got second dose during the week and it's not sore. Does this mean its not working. I have a slight temperature and that's it. No more side effects.

It usually means that you tensed your muscle if I remember correctly. It certainly doesn't mean anything about the vaccine itself.

The vaccinator asked me to relax my arm. I was never asked that before. Maybe it's that.

Everyone will react different... but this whole "side effects means it is working" needs to go away. Plenty of people will have no side effects at all and will worry that the vaccine is not working.

It’s just a side effect you get with vaccines. Nothing to do with tensing muscles or indicating it works or anything.

You've had a sharp object shoved forcibly into your muscle. It's not natural. It's going to ache!

Lol what in the Facebook logic?? Your arm is sore because a needle jabbed it, it has no bearing on the vaccine efficiency

I had my vaccine three weeks ago and my shoulder still hurts! No idea if it is an actual side effect of the vaccine but I’m hoping it’ll go away soon.

Once I had a blood test and couldn’t carry anything afterwards - my arm so weak that I was literally shaking when I lifted it. Does that mean the blood test “worked” then? No, it just a side effect of the needle being inserted. It doesn’t matter what the actual procedure was, vaccine or not

I don’t meant this unkindly, but don’t be a wally!
