Paracetamol after vaccination (or infection) affects immune response

I have just been listening to Dr John Campbell's excellent explanation of the role of fever in the immune response

I will definitely be trying to reduce my intake of paracetamol and would suggest people avoid taking it after their covid jabs.

There seems to be quite a lot of evidence on this some I am wondering why paracetamol is still advised as it seems to be a very short term response with long term implications.

The NHS advise you to take paracetamol if needed after the jab.

Until the NHS advise against it, I’ll happily use it. I used it after my jab as I was very unwell, I couldn’t have coped with the fever and rigors and pain for any longer than absolutely necessary!

If evidence comes out and is adopted by the NHS that you should avoid paracetamol after the jab then fair enough but it seems a bit irresponsible to be giving medical advice on MN that contravenes what’s advised by the NHS/jab manufacturers.

I agree with @ColdBrightClearMorning. When I have my jab if I need paracetamol I'll take it unless there's actual evidence I shouldn't.
