Wow oh friggin wow!
I work in healthcare so put my name forward for an antibody test, but was 100% sure I've not had Covid.
Ive worked all the way through and stuck to all rules, social distancing, mask wearing etc etc. Ive been doing twice weekly testing via work, since early Jan and all results negative. At no point have I been ill or even had a whiff of a cold since last March. I live with DH and hes been WFH since March, hes also not been ill.
So I do the test and just received an email to say its positive for antibodies therefore Ive had Covid. Says antibodies can last 6-8 months (they think) so ive had it at some point after summer.
Im genuinely shocked - relieved that I wasnt ill with it, but now desperate to know when I had it!

I've had my first vaccination 3 weeks ago). Last week, had an antibody test. Came back 'negative' so however they tested, it wasn't picking up antibodies I made re the vaccine

I volunteered for every trial going at the start of this, I am CEV. Most of the things I was accepted for are regular questionnaires but today I have been asked to participate in a monthly antibody test.
It's the Virus Watch study run by UCL. Apparently they can differentiate between infection and vaccine antibodies and in part it is to study vaccine effects.
I had my first dose of AZ on 30th January and will start the tests some time this month for six months.
I did do an antibody test for another study a few months ago which was negative, unsurprising as I have been shielding

I work in a lab that tests for antibodies. There are two different antibody tests. One that will definitely pick up antibodies from the vaccine, one that doesn’t.

Which test you local lab does will determine which test you have.

I tested positive for a Covid on a PCR test on Monday - I am asymptomatic and had absolutely no idea that I had it. I had a day 1 test as an entry requirement into a Covid free country (compassionate entry due to my mums death).

What’s more interesting is that I spent ten hours travelling with my four dc in a vehicle, and then a boat cabin the day before the test. They have their day 7 test on Sunday and I’m sure they will test positive due to how close we all were - but they have zero symptoms either. If they are negative I will be getting them antibody tests (although we also have a day 13 test to get through).

We could be isolating for ages, but totally asymptomatic.......
