Who is getting what type of vaccine?

Is it like Pfizer at the big hubs and AZ at doctor's surgeries?

And if you could choose, what would you go for at this stage?

I took my mum to a big hub to get her jab they were using both so people randomly got one or the other, they did know which one they got but there was no choice she had the AZ.
I got mine, work related, at a different hub but a much smaller one again no choice I had the Pfizer vaccine.
I wouldn’t care which one I had at this stage.

Do we even have a choice?

I'll just see what's coming when it does and decide then.

I don't think anyone in the world has a choice in it.

I started a thread on this last week because I was trying to decide Pfizer or AstraZeneca
I used twitter to get info on a particular large centre to confirm that they are offering pfizer, and assumed that the GP surgery is offering AZ.
I've booked the large centre, but as PP has stated, they could well be doing both and no choice - but I'm not really that fussed which I get.

I booked using the NHS online site - you get to choose the date and time of both appointments. Might be just my GP, but they weren't prepared to make a booking for one week ahead, so seemed a bit haphazard.

@EveryDayIsADuvetDay. They seem to only be offering appointments on the days when they definitely know they have supplies.

I went to a big hub and got Pfizer (which would have been my choice anyway). My CEV friend went to the same big hub and got AZ. I'm guessing it's whatever they have available on the day!

If you have a particular need for one type (eg anaphylaxis) then you should be booked accordingly.

Big hubs tend to have both. GP/local hubs could have either

If I could choose, I'd have Pfizer, but am very happy to have either

The vaccine hub where I live does both. I got a cancellation and the woman on the phone told me I was having Pfizer so they do know in advance sometimes.

I had Pfizer at a big hub....my mum had Pfizer at gps
