Could you create a stop-frame animation with Lego/train track?

Biscuits from around the world baking, German biscuits are quite good fun

Make fat balls for the birds

Get a roll of old wallpaper, roll out on floor, draw round each child, masking tape to wall then they can fill in the outline.

Chalk graffiti outside

Collect some evergreen leaves, laminate, create an end of winter mobile.

Shadow puppet show?

I am wondering the same thing! Would be grateful for any ideas for slightly older children (8 and 11).

For your three...

Maybe walks with a pretend game attached? I was desperate to get out for a walk today, and roped my 8yo DD in by making it a game of detectives. We each pretended we had a dog (we looked up breeds), and then we took notebooks out with us and scribbled down the number plates of cars, and any defining features of houses we passed etc. We looked completely mad but at least we were outside... Confused

Some other ideas:

Listening to Raffi albums on repeat - creating dance "routines" a la Strictly. Perhaps watching some Strictly for research purposes...!

Setting up their teddies as if they're sitting on the carpet at school, and then the older children can play teachers and take different lessons. They can also take the teddies outside for break time etc.

Hope half term goes will OP.

Thanks for the ideas I particularly like the detective idea.

It’s so hard because the youngest will go crazy and ruin anything like Lego or board games.

I’m just imagining hours and hours with nothing to do. This weekend was particularly difficult with the cold weather (no snow yet), so the playground lasts about 5 minutes. Lots of screen time which isn’t ideal either. Argh

My plan is to go to a different local playpark each day. Unless it's raining. I know not everyone wants to go to the park at the moment though.
I'm also going to teach them the ukulele through YouTube.
Then the usual painting, baking and watching films.
Maybe McDonalds drive through for a McFlurry for a treat.
Also got the dentist yay!
I'll buy them a magazine each. They get them so rarely they really love them and do each page, taking days.
I actually usually love Feb half term for hanging out with no pressure to see people anyway. Though having been a while, it would be nice to be able to see family this time!

I have bought DD one of the Hobbycraft play houses that you colour in, they are reduced to £12 at the moment.

We also have a mud and bloom box and I think the activities in there will make walks more interesting.

dS is planning to make a treasure hunt for the younger ones too.

Another simple activity is to get some simple biscuits and sweets/decorations and icing sugar and do biscuit decorating.

Thank you for the Viking suggestion - poo day will be popular with my two.

We’re going to do some of these. Ed Stafford and Steve Hanton are doing live sessions on Mon/ Weds / Fri so we’re going to try some of their ideas including cooking an egg in an orange.
