Just tested positive - reassurance?

So my dad was in hospital and tested positive for covid. Sadly he died last week. I sat with him for his last three days.

It is no big surprise that despite wearing gloves, mask, visor and apron I still tested positive for covid today. I was essentially sealed in a room with him for days.

I’m on day three of symptoms. Slight sore throat, mild cough (really not bothering me), bit achey, eyes hurt, slight tummy pain. But so far it is niggly, haven’t even needed painkillers.

After such a shitty week I’m hoping this is as bad as it gets. I hate being locked away from family when I really just need a hug.

Anyone have similar? Did it get worse or did it just stay niggly?

I thought I had covid in Feb last year and it laid me out for a couple of weeks, and my husband. Couldn’t test back then though so we’ll never know!

I'm sorry for your loss. Yes, many people's symptoms do remain mild throughout. Keep warm (with windows open), rested and plenty of fluids.

OP it could be worth getting an Oximeter delivered, just in case.
Keep hydrated and in touch with someone while you're locked away, so that you can get what you need delivered, and also stay sane.
