My children have COVID

Both of my DS's (4.5 years and 20 months) have tested positive today. My partner tested positive on Wednesday.

I'm so worried about them, I've had about 6 hours sleep in total since Thursday (the little one was taken to hospital for croup and the big one was vomiting last night) and I'm currently lying on their bedroom floor unable to sleep. I feel so guilty for letting this happen, worried that they will be really ill, exhausted, scared I will catch it and be really ill, and frightened to sleep in case I don't hear them in the night.

Don't know why I'm posting but I'm crying and just wanted to write it down somewhere I guess.

OP you have no reason to feel guilty, this is not your fault and you didn't let it happen.
You are doing your very best and you should try and get some rest while they are asleep.
Hope everyone will recover quickly.

You are looking after them. Be kind to yourself

My whole family had it

It is truly awful
We made it
7 days were hellish
And now some exhaustion

Thinking of all your family ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Unless you have been letting your kids run around a covid ward it isn't your fault.

My whole family has had it. The baby was younger than yours. She was off her food a bit, occasionally a bit sick and clingy. However I have seen her worse when teething.

The kids were all better within 2 to 4 days. I took a week and my 53 year old husband took around 15 days.

Not sure if husband suffered more because age or he was a bit man flu about it ( or should that be man covid Grin)
