I think we might have a better idea of school provision if we can see what other schools are managing to provide, what do you get from your school?
Do that’s use Teams Zoom Google classroom?
Are they using other sources like Oak Academy or CBBC
Do they get daily or weekly contact group contact
Can you/they access the teacher
If they need to be in school what’s the provision?

My kids are at 2 different schools, DS gets each lesson pop up on time with a live teaching session or a teacher’s recording of a lesson, often the teacher stays online to deliver the whole lesson
They can also access through chat either their subject teacher or another member of that faculty
Personal Tutor does daily registration fir 30 minutes you have to register you can stay to chat it’s teams video
If you miss sessions parents are contacted sharpish to see if you need to be in school.

My DD has work set the night before so you can print stuff off they work through Zoom and Google Classroom any questions go into the class chat and gets a swift reply
Registration each morning and work is submitted 3or 4 times a week, teachers do some videos but they also use Bitesize children have a Zoom session.

There is quite a range of provision.
Ds1 school have just reduced lesson time to give them a break from screens every hour apparently lots of families have requested it

Schools been told by the Department of Education to publish details of their remote learning on their websites by 25 January:

www.gov.uk/government/publications/providing-remote-education-information-to-parents-template

So we should all be able to compare our DC’s school with others....

Eldest in secondary is getting all live lessons from teachers, they're following the normal timetable and work is completed during lessons and marked. Youngest in primary is getting daily live English and Maths. Work is marked quickly and his teacher is very flexible with how it's completed. We're doing a mix of handwriting and some typed. Apart from peer socialisation I don't feel they're missing out.

Paper pack of worksheets to be picked up each Friday
Good morning video explaining days work
Video for maths and English work.
Same for world around us.
Told to read their Accelerated Reader and keep doing quizzes.
Whole class and teacher meet up online , first last week. May be weekly
A lot of the work seems to be to keep children busy IMO.(copying out 24 division calculations instead of writing on worksheet). Supposed to work morning and afternoon. Unless your child is very quick to get things done there’d have been little time for sledging yesterday to give some fun in what has become a rather dull and unexciting life.
Some work a bit dull.
Better than last time though, but last time I was able to teach things she was weak in and make it fun. The Maths is particularly dull. Maybe we’ve just reached a dull part of the curriculum.
Work has to be marked at home and sections sent in online.
Comment made on maths and English (nothing in depth)

Four kids, one preschool, one primary, one secondary, one sixth form college. Private other than the College.

The 17yr old gets full live timetable on Teams, same as his usual. The occasional lesson is just the work given out. Deadlines daily. Tutorial once a week, homework for every subject. He’s doing four a levels.

The 12 yr old, three live lessons a day, daily homework and links to things like online science. Breakfast club and yeargroup live more socially with his year every day on zoom. Theatre club and film club once a week, where they watch and then discuss after.

7yr old...work set and live lessons on Teams. one- three live lessons a day, well-being time with whole class, playing games doing joint crafts or chatting. Homework given most days, reading, maths and something creative or outdoors like scavenger hunt, etc. Pack of resources delivered to house, white board, books, craft materials, nature diary etc.

4yr old...could have been in but we chose to keep at home. Teacher has offered zoom chats, there is story time and magic carpet time which she can virtually join with her class. Teacher delivered resource pack, which we can swap, with books and projects, and letters from staff.

We’re lucky, small schools and class sizes make it possible. Three of kids are dyslexic, so extra contact with home and school because of that. College not so great on SEN. Pity, because good on everything else...
