3 of us in the house have covid. Any tips for getting through, especially managing anxiety.

I am unwell but managing and monitoring oxygen levels.

Working up to making tea for us all, my poor teenage boy is ensconced in his room with no symptoms.

It's just miserable. So any positivity and helpful tips would be so lovely now.

Sorry to hear about your positive tests. We had the same situation over Christmas & New Year. DH first then myself & DS (21) DS (22 - but still very much a "teenager"! ) stayed negative & isolated in his room including New Year & his birthday on the 3rd January!
We were all lucky with very mild symptoms but I was very anxious - definitely recommend ordering an oximeter on Amazon. Really helped me when I coughed (my only symptom) to see that my breathing was completely normal. I also stopped worrying about household stuff - we all spent a lot of time watching Netflix & the boys seem to order all sorts on just eat - I had lost my appetite so was happy to leave them to it!
Stay in touch with friends & family. Take up their offers of shopping even if you don't need much- I enjoyed the distanced doorstep chats - helped the ten days to pass quicker.
Most importantly try not to Google too much as it feeds anxiety. Hope you all recover soon

I have just started a thread in a panic. Can I join you? I tested positive but am not ill yet. Im terrified of how ill I might get (asthma/ high bmi/chronic fatigue...)

I have an oximeter. Currently okay.Is it better to keep moving every hour or to rest!?
Anything wr should or shouldnt do?

@TryingNotToPanicOverCovid if you're not unwell I really think you need to try & carry on as normal. Though I realise this is easier said than done. In the first few days of being positive I really struggled to sleep - not because I felt ill but because I was worrying so much. I found it helpful to watch something on TV (not news!) until a bit later then sleep in a bit in the morning if you can.
It's good you have an oximeter - I found this really reassuring. You just need to take one day at a time.

Im only slightly more asthmatic rather than "ill", but aware it can change can't it. I am widè awake and anxious though. Thanks for your post.
I was going to get up and homeschool the child but we might take it easy.

@walkingonthemoon How long have you had covid? Do you know how you got it? Did you all test?

How are you feeling? Hope you are okay.

Hi we are ok. This is day 7 for me. Had an anxiety driven night last night but realise now that your oxygen levels go down when resting as my levels have been better today.

My daughter is tired but doing ok. My husband got positive result by post today so he is on day 3. Very worried about him.

There's a really good video that popped back up on my Facebook last week, it was made at the beginning of the pandemic by a doctor and published by BBC London, m.youtube.com/watch?v=bBkGDIeQwXo
I've heard they're very helpful so try those, for me doing something would also ease the anxiety.
