I've kept my dc home as dh wfh and I'm teaching in my school 3 days a week. It's hard going. I'm thinking of sending them in after half term as rates are lower here now. Anyone else changing mind?

Our school’s slots are all taken so anyone changing their mind goes on a waiting list so depends on your school. I don’t think anyone is finding it easy so “it’s hard going” isn’t really a reason to send a dc otherwise all dc would be in school. You can talk to the school and the decision is totally between you and the head teacher.

No. My school has another 31 students attending form tomorrow (a secondary) and we are waiting for DPs (also a teacher in a secondary) test results. His only contact with others is school and he had a recently tested postive student, who was in school whilst waiting for results apparently dosed up on cold & flu medication.

My teenage daughters are going nowhere.

Are you sure they'd get a place? Many round here are pleading with parents to keep them home if someone is WFH. The numbers in school are much higher than last time, and they might not be able to staff it.

Most schools are trying to lessen the number of students in. A lot round here have bought, hired, begged, borrowed laptops and tablets so they can send the kids who don't have access to those devices at home l.

If your dh is wfh then they need to be at home
