Transmission from nursery

Does anyone know if there is any research / statistics regarding the number of infections that come from nurseries? For example if a member of staff is infected, what percentage of kids then get Covid, and what percentage of their households get Covid?

My daughter's nursery seems to have fairly regular staff infections but I'm not clear how often they translate to wider infections. She is currently off nursery (our choice) but hoping she can go back soon as the rate in my area is coming down a lot. She really wants to go back as she is missing her friends.

I'm not sure if there is any statistics on this, even if there is my problem with statistics is you can make them read in a way that supports the view you are trying to put across. My daughter has been back at pre school since July, no cases in staff or children.

This gives you the number of cases registered in early years settings weekly across the whole of England. 346 cases in these settings in England in the last week in which records are available. There are approx 566,000 children in early years setting at the moment (0.06% cases in the population).

This isn't exactly what you asked for (haven't been able to find that information for myself yet, this is the best I've been able to find!)

You can't use the statistics like that because....

"If there are multiple reported cases at a setting at one time, a notification can include more than one confirmed case. This means that the number of notifications received does not necessarily correlate with the number of confirmed cases in a setting."

So it's more like 346 settings have reported at least one case.
