Feeling slightly annoyed

I understand why NHS frontline staff should be one of the first groups to receive the vaccine but I’m a bit confused and a little bit annoyed about something I found out today.

My neighbour works for the NHS. She is not frontline, she is a PA to a doctor in the psychology department of a small community hospital. Since the first lockdown in March she has worked from home and doesn’t expect to return to work in her office for the foreseeable future.
She is 55 yrs old with no underlying health problems. Today she posted on her FB page that she has received the vaccine.

I was under the impression that it was only frontline NHS workers that were receiving the vaccine, not office based staff who are working from home.

It maybe they are filling spaces and using vaccines on office staff to save wasting vaccine/time.

My dad is 75 but had his last week as they called on people on the CEV list as they had cancellations. Maybe a similar thing happened to her?

I kind of see your point but I can’t get worked up about this. It’s another person ticked off the (very long) list, good luck to her.

They can’t consider every individual case.

I would find something else to worry about.

It's filling up the gaps in appts.
