Today's line up on the main stage, at around 5p.m.

Lead vocals: Matt Hancock
Backing vocals: Susan Hopkins (Track and Trace)
Steve Powis (Medical Director NHS England)
Focus on the vaccine roll out.

Matt will no doubt be breaking every sinew, at this unprecedented time.
He will praise track and trace (yes, I know).
And look straight at the camera, telling us with his sincere face on, to STAY AT HOME.

Enjoy!

This looks like a pretty dodgy support band. What time is the main attraction on? Can I listen to this from one of the bars rather than have to go in ?

Yes, course you can.

Cold, damp, January... Monday... best they could rustle up.

Raab would be good for a good rodgering, in a robotic kind of wayGrin

LacyEdge · 18/01/2021 15:24

I can’t even look at Handcock without thinking how riddled with filth that pink tie must be after 10 months’ continuous wear Confused

CleverCatty · 18/01/2021 15:25

@RosieLemonade

The heart wants what it wants and mine wants Raab.
Does no one see that smirk of his and those snake like (unfair to snakes) eyes that glint, a bit evilly, at you?

Gotta turn you off having those aspects of his visage leering at you should you get too near... Grin

I can see what people mean about Raab, in a Lucius Malfoy kind of way

the80sweregreat · 18/01/2021 15:29

I would hope that Matt has had his pink tie dry cleaned since March or has a drawer full of the same ties ready to go!

the80sweregreat · 18/01/2021 15:32

Dominic Raab was on the tv yesterday morning with Andrew Marr.

AlinaSquareQueen · 18/01/2021 15:32

I’m shocked at all the gushing over Raab.

He has a nice soothing voice, but apart from that, I agree with the PPs who said he’s a cold-hearted bastard, and an utterly loathsome and repulsive (Tory).

I did notice the same about the pink ties and hoped they'd been cleaned! Or he had duplicates.

To be honest put Boris, Rees-Mogg and Raab (insert other loathsome and repulsive Tories) in a room and play marry, snog and avoid and I'd go avoid every time.

I've seen Boris twice now in person, one at a Young Conservatives Conference (don't ask what I was doing there!) and once opposite a suburban train station being interviewed when he was still mayor.

Came across as mad as a box of frogs in the conference and just got in my way as I'd come out of the Little Waitrose he was standing near. Got none of the 'charming' vibes that some MNers say he has!

An ex colleague of mine who works at Defra used to walk regularly out of Westminster tube and past Rees-Mogg a few times, says he reminded him of Slytherin. About right I'd say...

the80sweregreat · 18/01/2021 15:44

They are all loathsome. I'm not that keen on Sir Kier Starmer either to be fair, but many male Conservative MPs I would walk across hot coals to avoid. All the same , completely stuck up and mostly loath the poor yet people love voting them in so they must be doing something right.

Wilma55 · 18/01/2021 15:45

Thought it was 4.30 according to BBC news channel?

MaddieElla · 18/01/2021 15:48

Raab would score 100% in the bedroom and then ask you really nicely if there was anything else he could help you with.

I'm with Rosie. The heart wants what it wants.

I saw that picture on Facebook ! It is funny.
I love Chris Whitty's white shirt.

Stovetopespresso · 18/01/2021 16:03

hahaha there was someone on MN the other day saying she'd had "a dream" about Boris and it was great Hmm wonder if it was Carrie hahaha

Physer · 18/01/2021 16:05

It annoys me that Skyplus doesn't do series link for press conferences. I always miss them.

countrygirl99 · 18/01/2021 16:06

Raab? Clearly lockdown boredom is having an even more detrimental effect than I feared.

SophieB100 · 18/01/2021 16:09

@Wilma55
BBC coverage starts at 4.30 - then the conference is at 5.

Really enjoying all the posts - especially the photo the band!

OP posts:
Sadbadglad · 18/01/2021 16:15

Raab could share my bed any day Wink

RosieLemonade · 18/01/2021 16:17

I'll be disappointed at 5 when it's Peter Pandemic now after all this Raab talk.

the80sweregreat · 18/01/2021 16:21

If you look on BBC I player for the Andrew Marr show on yesterday morning you will see Raab on there talking to him via the Internet.
It might be on there.
It was mostly about the vaccine roll out timetables and when lockdown restrictions might be lifted ( he thinks the end of March)

TheRealMrsGrissom · 18/01/2021 16:24

My husband thought I’d reached my lockdown limits when I mentioned that I was only watching the news to see if Hugh Pym was on - in my defence I do think there is something quite soothing about his voice ☺️

Ellie56 · 18/01/2021 16:30

@RosieLemonade

Wish Dominic Raab would do a conference. He is a hottie.
Hmm Hmm

Dominic Twat Raab a hottie ? Really??

No. Just no.
