That's a meaningless statement especially if you're talking about a very large number as a small proportion is still a large number.

Indeed. But nothing is risk-free. Ultimately, this is a mild illness for most otherwise healthy people, despite the small contingent who seem to be determined to paint it as the Black Death.

scarring on the lungs puts you at higher risk of developing copd later in life. and no, scarring does not always heal completely.
I don’t think that’s correct. COPD is nearly always linked to smoking and age or a rare type of genetic defect in younger, non smokers.
