Where they're up to with vaccinations locally?

Does anybody know where I can find this information. I read posters on other threads saying 'In my area they're vaccinating over 70s now' etc. I'm just wondering if they only know from personal experience, or if there's some way of finding out?

Check on GP Facebook page.....ours have been doing over 75s for 2 weeks now..

There’s a message on saying if you know anyone over 75 who hasn’t had get them to phone for an appointment...so looks like they will be moving onto CEV and over 70s very soon.....I’m in NW

Aren't there any other sites apart from bloody Facebook. Something official?

Mindymomo · 17/01/2021 09:01

We are in Surrey and a friend who is 76 is getting hers on Tuesday and I thought we were quite behind, but it’s good news. Other friends missed their appointment as they didn’t check their messages.

My parents are having theirs done on Tuesday 75+ and in the NW

Check the GP website.

Seems to vary hugely, I guess depending on population density and demographics. My husbands grandparents are 84 and havent had theirs yet (Hampshire) but our area has quite a large elderly population.

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 17/01/2021 11:25

My GP hasn't even started group 1 yet Sad South Yorkshire

Most GP surgeries have Facebook pages these days. It’s a free, quick and efficient way to get messages out to large numbers (no not all) of people with very little demand on time and other resources. What’s the issue with that?

I think maybe it'd be helpful for people to see where NHS trusts are up to. Having said that, there is obviously variation due to differing ages of population so it might cause some problems. Personally, it'd he'd help with MH knowing some idea of where we're up to locally.

Our trust has a page. They aren't even doing over 80s yet, still on care homes and frontline NHS only. Website says the AstraZeneca vaccines haven't arrived yet in our area. Such a postcode lottery.

nomorecheese · 17/01/2021 13:25

I'm in the north west and my 76 year old step dad has been called for his next week. So they've done the over 80s here.

The NW really seem to be on it......nearly finished the overs 75s where I am in the NW..... it must depend on how many vaccines are delivered.
