I know they’re doing their best by trying to keep in touch and engaging. But does anyone else find it annoying when parts of the school newsletter “forgets” the kids that are trapped at home?
For example, this weeks newsletter and online assembly suggests that children design an internet safety poster. The best ones will be laminated and put up all around the school next week so everyone can see them. But everyone can’t see them! And by the time the kids go back (April? May?) they’ll have forgotten all about this anyway.
So we’re not bothering. Can’t see the point. Why would we spend time designing a poster for other people’s children to benefit from, when we’re not even allowed through they school gates?
But we do feel a bit excluded! I feel like we’re being asked to bake cakes, give them all away and eat dry bread. Anyone else had this type of thing happen?
