WFH as pregnant?

I read that women who are pregnant are classed as clinically vulnerable as they have a moderate risk. Only high risk people need to shield.
Should they be working from home? Friend works in a school and is first trimester, trying to work out what is right, whether she should be in school with key worker/vulnerable kids and Union guidelines aren’t clear.

It's from 3rd trimester WFH is recommended at the moment. Nothing else but distance the best you can until then.

From 3rd trimester WFH. Plenty of pregnant NHS staff still working with covid patients up until 3rd trimester.
There's no evidence pregnancy makes you more vulnerable. It's on the list as a precaution.

As per previous posters if employers have carried out a risk assessment and the workplace is as covid secure as they can make it then no automatic right to WFH - pregnant women are moderate risk only unless they also have underlying conditions

However I do know most teacher unions have supported pregnant member demands to WFH for the entire pregnancy

From 20 weeks I think. Check out pregnant then screwed on Instagram as they’ve done loads of work on this.

It's recommended from 28wks as third trimester is when the risks increase.
I worked as a Social Worker with families and children until 27wks and then completely home based from then until I left at Christmas. I finished work at 32wks using AL and then start Maternity Leave next week at 36+5.

Thanks so much. We just didn’t know whether it was different with it being a lockdown situation now.
Enjoy maternity leave @MaryShelley1818 hope all goes well with the end of your pregnancy
