Are you taking your kids to the park?

Parks are open within the rules this time so I have been taking mine but they've been really quiet.

Now we're being told we all need to do more and act like we all have the virus - obviously if this was the case then we wouldn't be going to the park.

So have I been selfish and pushed the boundaries or should I keep on going?!

Yep, he’s only 4 and it makes him happy. Most other things he enjoys are gone and he doesn’t understand why. Sod it.

Our parks are being closed from today in our LA

DD is in school so because she gets to play there and is mixing there I won't go to playgrounds. If she was being home schooled I would take her to the playground, but at quieter times

@EssentialHummus

I pulled DD out of nursery, which (no small irony) means that it's harder to fill our days, ergo park/playground. But we go at quiet times and keep to ourselves. Seems fine. What do I know?
This is exactly what we've done. And we're in the same predicament! I take the toddler to the park when it's quiet or (like today) bad weather/super rainy. We avoid the playground...

We go, but not every day. We have some lovely wild areas near us which are brilliant for climbing trees but not great for riding bikes or scooters, so we tend to do half and half. When we go to the park the kids are usually more keen to do circuits on their bikes than go on the play equipment. It's often pretty busy but what can you do? All our activities have been cancelled so this is their only real place to have fun. We used to do so much, we had clubs every day where they could socialise with other children, learn new skills, and burn off steam. Feels almost impossible to imagine it now.

Apart from having yet another walk around our village there is nothing else to do but go to the playground.
