Which supermarket?

I live in a village which has a Waitrose and a small local type mini market. My nearest big supermarket is an Aldi in the next town over (about a 10 min drive). There is also a Morrison’s about 15 min away and a Sainsbury’s about 25 mins away. I usually shop at Sainsburys-I prefer their food and have certain items I can only buy there (very fussy eater!), plus it’s mid range price wise and while I’m not too badly off, I can’t really afford Waitrose prices for my main shop.

Am I still ok to keep going to Sainsbury's at this time? Or I am expected to suck it up and shop at Waitrose or possibly the Aldi under the reasoning that Waitrose is so expensive. If it makes any difference, I have to drive to all of them-none are in walking distance (well the Waitrose arguably could be, but not carrying loads of shopping).

I have just got back from doing a Sainsbury’s shop but am feeling quite guilty and wondering if I have done the wrong thing/need to do something different next time. Opinions appreciated please!

Oh and so as not to drip feed-the Sainsbury's is located very near my support bubble. So I could coincide a visit to them with my weekly shop (I didn’t do that today, but I could moving forwards).

Of course you can go to Sainsbury's Confused

I would go for the safest option. For me that is sainsbury's if I need a larger supermarket. They limit the number of people going in so there are no queues at the till and the aisles are wide. Lidl on the other hand has huge queues building up down the aisles with people reaching over others to do their shopping. It feels so unsafe.

I’ve used my preferred supermarket throughout the previous lockdowns, and continue to do so. It’s still in the same town, but definitely not the closest. I don’t know anyone who has changed where they shop for the sake of the distance they need to travel.

Fair enough. Accept I was overthinking it! Thanks for your reassurance!

I agree. Go where you are the safest. the one that has traffic lights above the door or someone on the door. It's Waitrose here so I go there. They are sanitising the trolley handles and keeping an eye on numbers etc.

Off topic, but a village Waitrose. Do they exist? Or is it a little Waitrose?
