Apart from seeing family I would say going to the cafe and going to the football

Halfagonyhalfhope · 08/01/2021 20:43

Going to a cafe, especially one in an art gallery/museum

Funkypolar · 08/01/2021 20:43

Not being able to go dogging. Sad

Napqueen1234 · 08/01/2021 20:44

Our children’s education going up the shitter.
And the pub.

dementedma · 08/01/2021 20:44

Not being able to go to work

ALightFromTheShadows · 08/01/2021 20:44

Blimey funkypolar!!
Not seeing friends is mine. No concerts.

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 08/01/2021 20:45

My partner not seeing his little boy who lives in Spain. It's utterly heart breaking at times

oohmyback · 08/01/2021 20:45

Having to go back to work....I left because I'd had enough of teaching. I've had even more than enough now lol. Still....probably saved the roof over our heads!

grapewine · 08/01/2021 20:46

No theatre.
No sex.

Not necessarily in that order.

GreekOddess · 08/01/2021 20:46

The impact on the kids.

Hotcuppatea · 08/01/2021 20:47

No skiing holiday this year ☹

oohmyback · 08/01/2021 20:47

@Alightfromtheshadows

I'm secretly relieved at missing some gigs. Although I love live music I now have fibromyalgia and my god I suffer with all the standing! We go to a lot of smaller gigs so no seats! Even at the big gigs dh doesn't want to sit (not do I really!)

TitsOot4Xmas · 08/01/2021 20:48

Sanity

DenisetheMenace · 08/01/2021 20:48

Restrictions on the kids.
Understand why though.

grapewine · 08/01/2021 20:49

Sanity
Fair point.

actiongirl1978 · 08/01/2021 20:51

Having time to myself in the house. I work v part time and usually once I've walked the dog I can clean or cook and have a nice lie on the sofa in the middle of the day without feeling guilty. So I can't wait for DH to go back to the officeGrin

In all other respects this way of life suits me down to the ground. I no longer have to find excuses not to socialise with people and I'm not nearly as busy.

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 08/01/2021 20:52

Not being able to go dogging.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

LynetteScavo · 08/01/2021 20:53

I don't care about anything for myself, but seeing DM not be able to socialise in person and DD not be able to do team sport and having her GCSE exams cancelled is just horrible.

OuiOuiKitty · 08/01/2021 20:55

Not being able to go more than 5km from home(I'm not in the UK). I miss the woods that are about 10km away, the dog walks in my 5km are uninspiring to say the least, I think even the dogs are sick of doing the same circles over and over.

SellFridges · 08/01/2021 20:55

Choice. Spontaneity.

Didn’t have much of either due to the kids, but I resent being trapped in the same place, with the same people, doing the same things. Even though I like my home and area, love my family, and enjoy many things like reading and cooking.

EssentialHummus · 08/01/2021 20:55

Lack of support during a miscarriage, followed closely by playdates for my three year old.

annevonkleve · 08/01/2021 20:55

No parkrun.

It doesn't bother me that much - no holidays is disappointing and it will get wearing if we can't go away later this year but I think the impact on the youngsters is the worst. But if you say that you are not contributing to their "resilience" and people got on with it all during the war.

ChocOrange1 · 08/01/2021 20:57

Not being able to access toddler groups and baby support groups. I have a 3.5 year olds and a 9 month old - born at the start of lockdown - and I could really have used the support from other mums.

Alfaix · 08/01/2021 20:59

Agree it’s the impact on children. I’ll follow the rules but what makes me most inclined to bend them is to make DS happy- seeing a friend at a park for example.

andannabegins · 08/01/2021 20:59

No gigs. What I would give to be in a sweaty crowd watching a band I love. My girls missing their dance classes. It is really knocking their mental health
