Blocks of flats (social housing)

Does anyone live in block of flats where no one else is taking Covid seriously? Most people walking communal hallways, stairwells and tiny lift no masks. Children constantly playing on landings which are air Tight, meters away from where I am sitting. Yes is a door between but plenty space around it. Yes we have to walk down but there is difference coughing children playing for hours in sealed space.

Even the cleaner today no mask. It’s been nearly year and housing association haven't even put up a please wear a mask sign. When you share small communal spaces it’s not simply as it’s my Home I will do what I like. It’s like Covid soup just leaving the building or taking the rubbish out.

Yes. Same here except no kids playing. I live in a block with a real mix of people from those in their 90s down to teenagers. I’ve been shielding since March and it feels like running the gauntlet to take rubbish out.

I've moved my Dad to me for this very reason.
Private block but mix of residents.
The carers/airbnb/student ratio is huge, no one bothers.

Sorry I’m not the only one. I know our housing association is generally rubbish unless it’s spending money on glossy magazines every quarter, but feel like they should do more. I’m in london some areas are 1 in 20 that means good few people here could have it. Wearing a mask isn’t to much to ask until you get outside the building.
The cleaner must be in contact with hundreds people every week and not a care in the world.

Yes @RARach I feel like no matter what I do I’m going catch it now.

These buildings are a melting pot of different people.. I’m forever telling people to back off. At least they can’t see what else I’m muttering under my breath with a mask! I’ve just had to order a test as getting symptons and felt it was only a matter of time. Though almost impossible to pin point where I’ve caught it. My dad is in sheltered accommodation and they’ve had their communal areas and touch points cleaned up to 6 times per day.

Yes, we live in a small block of 5 flats (usually quiet with no real problems) and all our neighbours have lots and lots of people constantly in and out - definitely not adhering to the lockdown rules even vaguely. Groups of 10 people plus arriving at once, congregating in the corridors, coming and going at all hours, and a constant conveyor belt of different people/other households in and out. Last night it was a group of 6 adults and 5 children arriving to a one bedroom flat that already has 2 adults and 4 children in, the day before they had a different group of 4 people turn up. And that’s just one set of neighbours - there all doing the same.
I haven’t reported it as I don’t want to be considered a snitch- any complaints would clearly be from us as we are the only ones in our block of flats following the rules.
