Can we form a support bubble

My partner and I have a one year old dd and my partner has a disability and when his disability acts up (the symptoms come and go) he requires a carer. I am due to start back work next week and want to know if we will be able to form a support bubble with his parents so that he can have his mum look after him and help out with our dd

Yes you can and even if you couldn't, you can see people for care reasons and have been right from the outset of the March lockdown.

When was your dc 1? If it was after 2nd December you can form a proper support bubble and see them anytime. Otherwise they can help or care needs or childcare needs.

She turned one in august

Should also mention we were previously getting help from his mum for care before lockdown

You do not qualify to form a support bubble but your MIL can provide care to her son. In addition, as long as she is providing childcare and not just socialising, your MIL/PIL can form a childcare bubble with you.

No, they cannot form a support bubble because they are a 2-parent household and their child was not under 1 at the December cut-off date.

No you cannot form a support bubble. On the occasions when his symptoms are particularly bad it would be acceptable for someone to provide care but no social visiting should be occurring.
