Meeting for exercise but not really exercising...

So me and my mum have met for dog walks which we have counted as our exercise since you've been allowed to meet another person.

It's the only time I really get out of the house and we live rurally so rarely see anyone else on our walks.

Question is, I am now heavily pregnant and I just can't walk the same so we'd planned to meet at a local field where people often let their dogs run and stand/walk round a little whilst the dog has a play.

I know people are getting moved on in some areas for sitting in the park or whatever but this is the only small form of exercise I can manage right now and my dog still needs to go out. Unreasonable?

This is what those idiotic police have done, we have a heavily pregnant lady trying to justify why she can't walk far or fast.

Disgusting.

Surely no one is questioning whether a pregnant person can have a rest, stand still etc. Of course that is ok. The OP asked about meeting her mum and having a chat with her. I’m guessing the guidance would say the mum isn’t exercising with someone from another household (she is just socialising with them). So really it depends how your mum/ you feels about following the guidance.

It doesnt have to be a marathon to count as exercise! Try and keep active it's good for you. Even if it's just a leg stretch.

It’s a simple as this re following the rules.

Tbf, it is a stupid rule that was asking for problems and they might be better off just getting rid of it and not allowing you to meet up for exercise.

You'd be covered by the animal welfare exception in any case. You can still take dogs out for their walks, take animals for boosters/vet care and so on. No need to worry .

To many exceptions

It’s time to stay in and stop all the rationalisations and everyone have some back bone.

Time for you to stay in and understand others can't or don't want to.

Yep you stay in. That’s really healthy.

I very much enjoyed my 8 mile run in the woods today where I wasn’t near anyone.
