Homeschooling- does anyone have “live” help?

What I mean is, if your primary child gets stuck on a task, is there anyone available at the school that they can ask for help? We are struggling here. It’s a bit much for 10 year olds to be expected to keep a log of issues and review these at a later date?

Well I’ve had a reply. The KW / V kids in school get the teachers help and feedback in class during the school day. The online kids have to post their questions / problems on the online software and wait until lunchtime / evening to get a response.

Do you think I can point out to the school how unfair this is? Surely there should be one staff member supervising the in-school kids and one helping the kids at home? Or would this make me sound like a dick?

Last night DS10 and I were still trying to post questions on the online portal at 9.30pm, by which time he was struggling to remember what he has got stuck on in the first place. And trying to articulate how he was stuck without being able to talk to the teacher was a nightmare.

Lemon yes I’d try and get that changed

Ds can see all his school friends and teacher / TA are there with and for him during the day and it helps on two ways - he can get help and he knows classmates are doing same as him
